Elaine joined Run 4 It midway through 2010 from a sports and retail background. Originally from Mintlaw, Elaine's only complaint of city life is that the pavements are more crowded in Aberdeen than back home, which makes running less easy! An outdoors enthusiast, she also likes to ski or go horse-riding whenever those opportunities arise.
Cameron attends the University of Aberdeen where he studies Law. At the moment, he has achieved considerable success in distances at and below the 10k mark and regulary competes for Aberdeen Athletics Club. Next year he hopes to continue this while also taking on the challenge of the Berlin Marathon. Outside of his studies and work, Cameron likes to play golf and socialise with friends.
Originally from Orkney, Thomas moved to Aberdeen to pursue a degree in Physiotherapy. Most comfortable on the track, his favourite distance to compete in is the 400 metres. A keen follower of a number of sports, Thomas also represents the Robert Gordon University at cricket. His running heroes are Michael Johnson and Usain Bolt and his ambition is to medal at an Island Games Championships.
Darren joined the Aberdeen store from our Glasgow Tiso store upon completion of his studies at Strathclyde University. Originally from Edinburgh, Darren went to school with Sunderland and Scotland goalkeeper, Craig Gordon. He has been capped for Scotland, though not in football, but athletics at under 17 level. Darren considers Michael Johnson his running hero and would most like to meet Lance Armstrong. Away from running, Darren is a keen follower of Liverpool Football Club.
Growing up in the Scottish Highlands, Peter would only run if it involved playing football. Nowadays, when not working or at University, he quite likes road running with a half marathon or marathon being his two favoured distances. He remains adamant he will never race in a 10k! Keen on a number of sports, Peter particularly enjoys playing golf and still harbours an ambition of being Formula One World Champion.
