Hi Jane
Thanks for your question, plantar fasciitis is a condition that affects the plantar fascia, on the sole of the foot, classic symptoms are pain on first step in the morning, and pain immediately following rest and at beginning of the run, which usually subsides as you warm up. it is an overuse condition that if left untreated will get progressively worse. there is a number of factors that could be causing it. it would benefit me if I could ask you a few more questions to understand your history, so I can guide you in the correct way to manage this condition. you can email me directly on pamela@sportsinjuryscotland.co.uk
