The popular 10k running event is suitable for people of all running abilities aged 15 years plus and a great way to help you make fit and healthy start to the year. This is a world-class course, which includes landmarks such as Edinburgh Castle, the Scott Monument, the Royal Mile and Holyrood Palace. We recommend you enter early into this race as last year saw over 10,000 people take part!

It’s a great way to get outdoors and say goodbye to the winter and a great warm up for forthcoming runs and fixtures for the rest of the year! There's a fun warm up on the day and all finishers receive a t-shirt, medal and goody Bag. Most tempting of all there's also free Massage for runners! Catherthun Half Marathon and 5k Fun Run 2010

The route - 13.1 miles in total is made up of approximately 12 miles road running and 1.5 miles offroad/hill running and is mostly run on private roads and the local path networks. Both races are in aid of the Guide Dogs charity. There will also be a number of stalls and guide dog training exhibitions for spectators and supporters.
