This unique event is held in memory of Carnegie Harriers coach, Graham Clark, who sadly died at an early age after competing in a 5k race. The race is held at Knockhill Racing track, normally reserved for motor racing, taking in three laps of the racing circuit for a 3.9 mile race.

A fast 10K around the paths and road of Irvine beach park and harbour.

This race is held in Stonehaven just out the Slug Road, on the way to Banchory. The start is just before the first narrow bridge about 1 mile beyond the A90 flyover.
Grid Ref. NO 843883.

It is 6.5 km (4 miles) in distance and is run on paths round the woods and is very like a cross country race. Ascent: 740 ft
Category BS.

Maps of the routes will be available on the day and hopefully posted on the Cosmics website (www.cosmics.org.uk)
Entry is £2.50 per race or £8 for the whole series.
Prizes will be awarded for each race and a series prize for the fastest man and women.

The hill race is the same as last year, only one way...UP... and very short and steep, record is 3 minutes and 33 seconds.

Glenisla Highland Games 15 August. Haugh Field Glenisla Games start at 12 noon. 136th Highland Games set on the banks of the River Isla. Very friendly traditional games with piping, dancing, heavy events, children's races and the Mount Blair Hill Race. Admission £4 per adult children under 14 free. Free carpark.

Distance 5 km.
A scenic undulating road course within the park.

The start and finish will be from Ewes Village Hall 5 miles north of Langholm on the A7, where overnight accommodation on Friday night will also be available. We are still finalising one detail before entries open, but get the date in your diary now! This year there will be a limit of 20 teams of 2. Road run in forest mostly on forest tracks.

A 15k run from Corrimony at the head of Glenurquhart to the Games Field, Blairbeg Park, Drumnadrochit. The route mostly on forest track.

Distance: 4.5 Miles run.

The prize money has been increased for the hill race this year. First prize is now £75 (previously only £50). All other placings have increased accordingly.

This Highland Gathering and Games includes the march of the Lonach Highlanders, Solo Piping, Highland Dancing, Field and Track and Heavy events.

1 Graham, 5 Donalds, 4 Donald Tops and 2 Marilyns*

Distance: 18Miles (28K), 5000 feet (1,500m) - No or very limited entry on day. See website.

Registration and Finish will be at the Gannochy Sports Centre at Stirling University (NS 805965). At 10:30am a bus will leave the Gannochy to take runners to the start at Glensherup (NN 967052)
There will be changing facilities available at the Gannochy.

You will be required to carry waterproof body cover, a suitable map, compass and whistle regardless of weather conditions on the day.

The 10K Road Race starts at 2.30pm within the Stadium
and also finishes on the Stadium running track.
If several runners are travelling to the race together, then some assistance may be given to their travelling expenses.

The Royal 'family games' run from around 10am till 6pm.
The prizegiving takes place around 5.30pm, and is followed by the Parade of the Massed Bands down through the town to the Ferry Terminal.

A magnificent hand carved trophy is awarded to
the overall winner of the Heavy events. Gifted by the
Duke of Rothesay (HRH Prince Charles) in 2000.

There are 100m, 200m and 800m for under 13, 15 and 17
years males and females. There are also Junior and Senior
Heavyweight Championships and also wrestling within
a full traditional Highland Games programme.

The 10K is open to over 16 year olds.
This run is also open to teams of up to 6 people. Please consider collecting sponsorship to support the work of Blythswood.

The route, through the National Park, is on roads, forest tracks and rural paths. Starting and finishing at Drymen, it has spectacular views of Loch Lomond and the Campsie Fells.

Blythswood Care is a Scottish charity with a long track record of aid and development work in Eastern Europe. Proceeds from the Drymen 10K will go towards the treatment of Romanian teenagers who are suffering from HIV and AIDS. To build a clinic, equip, resource and pay running costs, we need to raise £200,000.
Help us towards our target and you will be making a real difference to the lives of these young people.

Event open to ages 15+.

The race begins at the North End of Skye, near the beautiful and famous Quiraing, and finishes in the village of Uig where refreshments will be provided.

Transport is provided to the Quiraing (where the race starts) from the hall in Uig, or runners can be transported back to collect their own cars.
Its a relatively 'easy' run (good for PB's), and very scenic - its where some of the outdoor filming was done for 'Stardust'.
It is a 10am registration at Uig Hall, for an 11am race start. The race is part of the annual Gala Day.
