Nike's trail version of the Air Pegasus+ 26 offers the perfect blend of trail specific traction, fit and element protection. The outsole has a combination of Waffles and multidirectional lugs to provide traction on softer, uneven trails as well as on roads getting there.
They are also Nike+ compatible so they can be used along with a Nike Sensor and Sportband+, ipod nano, ipod touch or an iphone to track your training.

In general when sizing yourself for running shoes you need to take between a half thumb and full thumb width of space at the front of the shoe to allow for the natural expansion of the feet during exercise
