The X-Talon 212 is a lightweight hill and cross country racing shoe and is worn worldwide by countless hill and mountain race winners. It has a sticky rubber outsole for traction on wet rocky surfaces and is aggressive enough for tricky terrain, soft enough for hard track.
Features
- Meta-flex groove which is anatomically aligned in front of the metatarsal heads to provide a natural forefoot flex.
- Met-cradle design holds the forefoot behind the metatarsal heads and ensures the foot is held in the shoe
- Fascia band increases the structural stability of the arch and the propulsive efficiency of the shoe
- ‘Sticky rubber’ compound (climbing rubber technology) on the sole is used to optimise grip in wet conditions
- Performance last to ensure minimal internal movement of the foot in the shoe
- TPU lacing design to further enhance the support given to the foot.

Size Guide
Our shoes are displayed in UK sizing. All of our shoes are a standard fit unless otherwise stated.
When choosing running shoes, as a guide we would recommend 1 size larger than your normal dress shoes. Ideally you should allow for a half thumb to a full thumb width of space at the front of your shoe. This is because the state of your foot changes as you run.
Throughout your foot strike when you bend your foot, the shoe bends with it and this causes the distance between the end of the shoe and the ball of the foot to decrease. The front of your shoe then moves closer towards your toes and if there is insufficient clearance there will be contact between your shoe and your toes on every stride. This repetitive contact can cause anything from bruised toenails to an increase in stress forces on your shins.

This is an excellent lightweight hill shoe. I think the newer model has been improved by giving more lacing holes. The sole, although not as aggressive as the Mudclaw 330, seems to offer just as much grip and security, and the shoe is so light the experience is close to barefoot running, whilst still offering enough protection.
Fantastic lightweight fell shoe. I used mine a lot over the winter when we had a lot of snow. Very close weave on the upper so OK for running on Sand as well.
