Run4It Statement – Thursday 18th June 2020 | COVID-19

Prior to providing information relating to the reopening of our shops, we would like to thank all of our team members, customers, couriers, partners, and suppliers who have supported Run4It during the lockdown period. All of the support received has been incredibly helpful and important, and we are very grateful.

Following the Scottish Government's announcement on Thursday 18th June 2020, we are delighted to announce that we will begin to open Run4It shops from Monday 29th June 2020.

The safety of our team members, customers, couriers and the wider community remains our utmost priority. As a result, we will be reopening shops with entry by appointment only. We have launched an online booking service which is accessible via: run4it.com/book. Not all Run4It shops will reopen on the same day. As soon as we confirm a reopening date for each specific shop, appointments will be available to book for the confirmed reopening date onwards. Please note that an appointment is for one person only, with the exception of a small number of circumstances listed on the appointment booking page. In the early stages of the reopening process, the services available in our shops will be restricted to: +runlab (for shoe purchases and exchanges), click & collect and returns & exchanges (for all applicable products). Each shop is reopening in compliance with a comprehensive risk assessment unique to its circumstances, and some shops will close for a set period of time each day in order to allow staff to have a break in a safe environment. Whilst we are in the first stage of reopening, we would respectfully request that purchases of products other than running shoes are made through run4it.com. For the foreseeable future, standard delivery to your home or work address will remain free of charge on orders of £25 and over; click & collect from Run4It stores will remain free of charge on orders of any value. We expect to deliver the vast majority of orders within 5 working days, however, we would like to apologise in advance if any orders are slightly delayed. For the avoidance of doubt, if you wish to buy a product such as a t-shirt or pair of socks along with a pair of shoes during a +runlab appointment, that will be possible.

Please take time to read the information on our website and shopfronts ahead of entering a Run4It shop. Extensive measures have been put in place to ensure that physical distancing regulations can be adhered to in all parts of our shops, with the possible exception of the till where protective screens are in place. As examples of steps being taken to ensure everyone’s safety: any shoes tried on and any returned shoes and/or clothing will be quarantined for 72 hours before being put back into stock or being despatched for an online order, fitting rooms will remain closed until further notice, hand sanitiser will be available in multiple areas of shops, and a rigorous cleaning process will be adhered to.

We hope the reopening of our shops comes as good news, but we also understand if there are frustrations relating to access and service restrictions. We will relax access and service restrictions as soon as it is safe to do so in accordance with advice from both the Scottish Government and the UK Government. Regardless of how you choose to shop with us, we will continue to do our best to help you. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us if you have any questions and we will respond as quickly as we can.

Best wishes,

Team Run4It
