Hoka One One
Founded in France in 2009, Hoka One One shoes were initially created out of a desire to design a shoe that would allow runners to run downhill faster. Named after the Maori phrase loosely meaning “fly over the earth”, Hoka shoes are aimed specifically at longer distance runs.
Hoka produces both low-profile and max-cushion shoes for road, trail, and all-terrain. All of their shoes retain features like a low weight-to-cushion ratio and midsole and outsole geometry designed to promote inherent stability and an efficient stride.
