Meet the Team
Runners, fitness freaks and friendly to boot. Our staff are the heart and soul of Run4It and go through our rigorous induction and training programme before we let them loose on the shop floor. We think they are the best – you often tell us this.
Here’s a little more about the motley crew;
Ryan McKenzie – Shop Manager
Ryan joined Run4It in June 2013. He runs because he loves the great outdoors plus the spirit of competition. Ryan enjoys running everything from park runs to long days out in the hills but his main interest is in ultra marathons. Over the past few years he has competed in over a dozen with a 3rd place finish at the Great Glen Ultra 2014 being his best result.
Emma Buchan – Assistant Shop Manager/ Visual Merchandise Manager
Emma joined Run4It in 2013 as the Assistant Manager in the Inverness store. In January 2015 she split her role, and started as the Visual Merchandising Manager. She designs shop windows for each new campaign, and is in charge of the in-store merchandising making sure that the shops are maintained to the highest standard. Or as Ben puts it, she makes the shops look "flowery".
When she isn't sketching up windows, you'll find her in the Inverness store keeping all the boys in order!
Graham joined Run 4 It in November 2008. Graham runs because he enjoys the freedom and scenery in and around the Inverness area. Graham has a 2:13:59 marathon time to his credit and finished 5th in the first ever London Marathon. He also competed for Scotland in the Commonwealth games in Brisbane, 1982 and finished 7th in the marathon. Interesting fact – “Not on Facebook”.
Luke joined the Run4It team in August 2014. He is a keen hill runner whose main aim in life is to beat Ryan up and down as many hills as possible. He hopes to complete the SHR long hill classics series next year in preparation for ‘The Ben’ in 2016.
Nicole joined the Run4it team in August 2014. She is a sprinter for Inverness Harriers and she hopes to better her personal best in the 100m and 200m. She also completed the Inverness ½ marathon back in March 2014 and she is keen to take part in more in the near future.
Charles joined Run 4 It in January 2015. He is a qualified gym, Spinning and Concept 2 Rowing instructor at the Black Isle Leisure, in Fortrose. He is a keen runner and has completed the Highland Cross and several half marathons over the last few years. He hopes to step it up to the marathon in 2015, if his old body will allow!
