The Trail Runner
As well as being great for your body, trail running helps you connect to the natural world and view the
world with wonder – as an endless playground. After all, you never know, the
greatest adventure might be a stone’s throw from your own backyard!
Trail runners are driven by a desire for discovery, the unknown, adventure, and a willing to take risks (in the form of tackling increasingly challenging terrain).
Mandy, our Run4It Bridge of Allan, got hooked on trail running for all these reasons. She’s a trail runner, canicrosser and born adventurer! In this video, she shares her love for the hills and mountains and her go-to gear for comfort and performance.
is Mandy and I’m a trail runner. I live in a beautiful part of the world with
access to the hills and mountains and enjoy nothing more than running,
surrounded by this amazing scenery. The best things about this type of running
are the views, the freedom and the silence.

find challenging about my running ? Fitting it all in ! With a family
and working full time, I have to squeeze in runs when I can. My training regime
is usually running everyday, made up of one long run a day and then sometimes a
couple of social runs with friends and my partner.
I also try
and fit in a gym session once a week, working on my core.”
