Advice for Trail Runners:

The upper of the Pegasus Trail 2 Gore-Tex Running Shoe is made using GORE-TEX Invisible Fit technology. This provides full waterproof protection without affecting the fit or feel of the shoe. Sometimes waterproof membranes can alter the shape of the upper in a way that leads to an inferior fit and irritation occurs as a result. So runners can train every day, the upper is made from quick-drying materials. The midsole is made with React foam. React foam provides exceptional cushioning and is very lightweight. This means the Pegasus Trail 2 will provide great protection on the road as well as delivering great cushioning over longer distance runs like ultras. It also provides great stability on rocky terrain.

Additional grip is provided by a rubber outsole that has a bike tire inspired look. Nubs provide traction and a smooth feeling underfoot on a mixture of surfaces, including road. More traction at the heel and toe helps improve uphill and downhill running. Toe fangs at the forefoot also improve traction.

The upper is packed full of features which helps runners in off-road conditions. A faux gaiter piece at the collar reduces the amount of dirt and debris that can get in. Feet are held secure by a midfoot cage, this is important on unstable ground. Finally, pull tabs make it easier to take them on and off.

This is a grippy door-to-trail shoe that's suitable for a mixture of road and trail running. The GORE-TEX upper provides full waterproof protection in all conditions so is great for road runs in the pouring rain or wet trails.

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles. Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes). This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
