Advice for Trail Runners: The iconic Lone Peak 6 in the Dusty Olive colourway is a fantastic choice if you’re heading for hard-packed or technical trails and need some robust underfoot protection!
As with other Altra models, the FootShape Toe Box allows your toes to relax and spread out naturally for more comfort and stability while the Balanced Cushioning Platform encourages low-impact form throughout your run.
Continuing to build on the success of previous versions, the Lone Peak 6 includes an updated durable upper offering flexibility and comfort, customisable lacing for improved micro-adjustment and an Altra EGO midsole which provides a cushioned feel underfoot. It incorporates a Skeletal Stoneguard to protect the feet from sharp objects on trails and a MaxTrac outsole with TrailClaw lugs which offers exceptional grip and durability.
The Lone Peak 6 is a versatile trail running shoe which will perform well on hard-packed, technical terrain.
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles. Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes). This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
