Advice for Trail Runners: The ultra-popular women’s Brooks Cascadia 16 is now available in an eye-catching Pink/Flambe/Cobalt colourway and remains a shoe worth considering for pretty much any trail run, no matter the distance or terrain!
With plush DNA LOFT v2 midsole cushioning, an extra 2mm of stack height underfoot, and a Ballistic Rock Shield designed to adapt more effectively to uneven terrain, both the protection and feel of the shoe are enhanced. A durable TrailTack Rubber outsole continues to offer superb traction on wet and dry surfaces.
The highly durable upper incorporates a gusset design which adds protection and reduces the risk of debris entering the shoe. Drainage ports around the upper allow excess moisture to escape quickly and easily while attachment tabs allow a gaiter to be used. A lace keeper ensures laces are neatly tucked away.
The Brooks Cascadia 16 is a highly versatile shoe, and is suitable for a wide variety of surfaces and terrains. The shoe will happily take you from your door to the trail and back again!
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles. Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes). This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
