Advice for Road Runners: The Mizuno Men's Wave Skyrise 4 Running Shoes offer soft cushioning and a comfortable, supportive upper.
Mizuno Wave contributes towards a significant amount of the midsole material. Mizuno Wave is designed to provide cushioning and stability. The shape of the material helps to absorb and disperse the impact when the foot strikes the ground. While this technology offers support for runners, the Skyrise 4 are neutral running shoes.
In the heel of the shoe, you will find a block of Mizuno Enerzy. This offers soft cushioning. In contrast, at the forefoot there is a block of Mizuno Enerzy Core - which is soft, but returns a good amount of energy.
The upper of the Skyrise 4 is significantly different to the upper on the Skyrise 3. The Skyrise 3 had an engineered mesh. The Skyrise 4 has a smooth stretch woven upper which provides a soft, comfortable fit. The upper stretches where necessary to provide an unobtrusive, supportive fit.
Everything in the design of the Mizuno Men's Wave Skyrise 4 Road Running Shoes is catered towards providing a significant amount of protection for your daily training runs. We recommend these neutral running shoes for runs when you want your feet and legs to feel protected. Plush cushioning is offered by these running shoes, along with some useful energy return from the material in the midsole of the forefoot.
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
