Advice for Road Runners: The upper of the React Infinity Run Flyknit 2 has been designed to offer increased breathability and support in comparison with the upper of the original React Infinity Run Flyknit. The cushioning levels of the tongue and ankle collar have also been updated for improved comfort.
The React Infinity Run Flyknit was designed with the specific aim of reducing the likelihood of injury. The midsole is constructed with React foam and a wide base, providing a soft yet highly responsive and stable underfoot feel. The rocker-like design of the midsole will help the foot transition from heel to toe - making steady runs feel easier and tired legs to keep moving forward at the end of a long run. Nike worked with British Columbia Sports Medicine Research Foundation to understand the effectiveness of this specific midsole design and have made no changes to the midsole in the latest model: the React Infinity Run Flyknit 2.
The React Infinity Flyknit 2 provides Nike’s best cushioning for longer runs and is the ideal option if you want to reduce stress on muscles and joints during steady paced runs. If you’re looking for a stability shoe for faster paced runs, check out the Air Zoom Structure 23.
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles. Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes). This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
- React foam midsole is designed for zonal performance, providing flexibility, cushioning and support throughout your stride
- Limited material between the foot and the midsole for a softer underfoot feel
- Substantial midsole height for plush feel and reduced stress on joints and muscles
- Wide heel counter adds stability, aligning leg joints and reducing stress
- Cushioned ankle collar and tongue reduces the chance of friction
- Rocker-like design for quick and smooth heel to toe transition
- Durable upper with supportive Flywire knit construction
