Advice for Trail Runners: The Salomon Sense 4 Pro uses a new combination of foams in the midsole called Optivibe™. One material is used to dampen forces and the other is to help propel. The technology was designed to help reduce vibration upon foot strike and therefore reduce muscle fatigue without compromising energy return. Muscle vibration is one of the most significant factors that contributes to fatigue while running.

This shoe features an aggressive grip and a 4mm drop. The low drop allows great precision and stability on uneven terrain. It has a Contagrip® MA midsole that can provide traction on a wide variety of surfaces. It balances both the geometry and the rubber compound to deliver confidence on wet, dry, hard or loose surfaces, and offer long-term durability. It also has Sensifit and Profeel Film. Profile Film helps filter out rocks and sharp surfaces, for more comfort and stability. The upper is also hydrophobic to help shed water.

This shoe is ideal for runners looking for a lightweight trail shoe that feels fast under the feet.

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles. Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes). This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
