As the 80’s drew to a close Saucony launched the Azura, a shoe which strongly hinted at the brand’s direction heading into the 90’s. Launched in 1988 and loaded with new technology, this was a performance trainer dedicated to runners who recognised the importance of what’s in a shoe rather than what shoe is in!

While these shoes were cutting edge in their design and function when originally launched, running shoe technology has undoubtedly evolved in the years since.
