Instead of a carbon fibre plate, the Speed 2 uses a semi-rigid nylon plate providing a slightly softer underfoot feel more suited to training, but still beneficial for some racing. The PWRRUN PB midsole foam is a Pebax and TPU blend, making it extremely lightweight and springy. Perfect for fast running, it’s 40% lighter and 88% more energy returning than PWRRUN+, Saucony’s next most premium cushioning.

Description

The Nylon plate adds structure to the foam midsole, creating a springboard effect while also enhancing the rolling motion of the shoe. This rocker-like technology called SpeedRoll, combines the curved geometry with a stiff forefoot to enhance your flow and help you pick up speed. It helps by lifting the heels up and pushing the hips forward as you move to the cycle to create forward momentum. This effect improves your ability to run faster for longer as your muscles and tendons won’t fatigue as quickly. Updates to the latest version include enhanced ankle support for a more secure hold around the heel.

The Endorphin Speed is perfect for regular interval training and tempo sessions, and makes running at faster paces easier. If you are looking for a similar style of shoe that is more racing specific, check out the Pro 2 from the Endorphin range.

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles. Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes). This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
