Advice for Road Runners: ‘Racing weight for training miles’. If you’re looking for an ultra lightweight shoe for all distances of runs then the Kinvara 10 Running Shoe may be your answer. A full length EVERUN topsole sits directly under your foot to provide soft and protective cushioning. This sits on top of lightweight foam called EVA+. Unlike most other Saucony neutral shoes that have a 8mm drop, height difference from heel to toe, the Kinvara 10 has a 4mm drop. This will make you feel closer to the ground, which can feel better when running quicker as they are more responsive. The lower drop also makes it feel more stable when moving laterally which makes it a good option for doing gym work or classes in. The tuning fork-shaped outsole is shaped to help quickly transition from landing to take-off. The EVERUN cushioning ensures that you can still do longer and steadier miles in them too. An engineered mesh upper is highly breathable and supportive. There are two small pads inside the heel collar to lock your ankle in place.

This shoe can work as your only shoe but it will work very well as second shoe. Runners may opt for a more cushioned shoe such as a Ride ISO or Triumph ISO 5 for slower runs or when they’re tired and then use a Kinvara 10 when they’re feeling fresher or running quicker.

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles. Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes). This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.

Technical Features:

  • EVERUN topsole construction for enhanced energy return and continuous cushioning throughout the run
  • EVA+ midsole
  • Engineered mesh
  • FORMFIT performance contoured footbed
