Advice for Trail Runners: The Saucony Women's Peregrine 13 Running Shoes feature really interesting updates in comparison with the Peregrine 12.
The Saucony Peregrine is one of the most popular trail running shoes that we have ever stocked. It offers a great combination of grip and cushioning.
Soft. The midsole is measurably softer than the midsole in the Peregrine 12. Increased softness is combined with a higher midsole stack height. The midsole stack height of the Peregrine 13 is 28mm in the heel and 24mm in the forefoot; in comparison with 25mm in the heel and 21mm in the forefoot of the Peregrine 12.
Softer cushioning and more of it makes for more comfort on hard ground. An extended rock guard works to protect your feet from rocky terrain.
The women's Peregrine 13 is also approximately 5 grams lighter than the Peregrine 12 which will also contribute to comfort.
The upper consists of a resiliant and breathable air mesh, with a high-abrasion net mesh in close proximity to the midsole. Keeps debris out and has minimal weight.
One of the best things about the Saucony Women's Peregrine 13 Running Shoes is that they can handle such a wide range of terrain. Need to run along the road, then over some rocky uneven ground, followed by some mud, and then head back? These trail running shoes can handle that.
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
