Advice for Road Runners: The U-Tech Solo in the Orange Clown Fish/Atlantic Deep colourway is True Motion’s fastest shoe and is packed full of features designed to help you move quicker!
As with other True Motion shoes, the Solo features U-Tech technology which is designed to centre forces from the ground through the ankle and knee joints, but in this model the tech is tweaked for a faster, even more responsive feel! The U-Tech structure still helps ensure that the foot lands securely and reduces the rate of inward rotation of the knee and lower leg, in turn decreasing the risk of pain in the knee, the most common location of running-related injury. Where the Solo differs from other models in the range is in its use of Double U-Tech technology. This means that no matter where your foot initially strikes (heel, midfoot or forefoot), you’ll benefit from the centering effect of the U-Tech structure and from the catapult effect offered! This can be of huge benefit when you’re running at quicker paces and landing slightly further forward on your foot.
The full-length U-Tech foam midsole offers superb energy return and the addition of a Speed MotionBridge constructed of fibreglass and nylon in the midsole of the shoe speeds transition and transforms performance at quicker paces.
The high performance rubber outsole offers high levels of traction and durability.
The second-skin fit upper is actually a super-lightweight 3-layer jacquard mesh and provides superb breathability while elastic laces and secure tongue ensure an optimum fit.
The U-Tech Solo is designed for optimum performance at quicker paces but still provides excellent levels of protection for such a lightweight shoe for runners who like an energetic and responsive feel on easier-paced runs.
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles. Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes). This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
