Advice for Trail Runners:

Stability, cushioning, durability and increased grip are all delivered in the new Saucony Guide ISO 2 TR. This model uses the same medial post and support system as the road specific model, the Guide ISO 2, but has a trail specific outsole. Saucony’s PWRTRAC rubber provides increased grip and traction for wet and rocky surfaces. Despite being tackier and stickier, this rubber is extremely abrasion resistant so it is suitable for road and trail running. Ankle stability on uneven trails is delivered by an embossed heel structure that gives structure and stability with reduced bulk. You’ll be cushioned on the road and trails with Saucony’s EVERUN cushioning. This is positioned directly under your feet on top of more responsive foam called PWRFOAM. The two materials combined create a soft and responsive feeling underfoot. 3D FITFORM contoured footbeds cradle your arches to help support them and increase comfort. This trail running shoe has multiple features to help you run on varying terrain and over a range of distances.

This is a versatile trail shoe that can be used on trails and roads. The structure, cushioning and design will work well for runners that are doing longer trail events and ultra distance marathon that are on mixed terrain. For something that is more suited to steeper terrain, check out the Peregrine ISO.

Key Features:

  • EVERUN Topsole construction for enhanced energy return and continuous cushioning throughout the run
  • Updated ISOFIT design creates a dynamic fit system by adapting to the shape and motion of the runner’s foot
  • Engineered mesh upper for a dynamic, lightweight fit
  • FORMFIT performance contoured footbed
  • PWRTRAC forefoot / XT-900 heel

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles. Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes). This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
