Description

Advice for Road Runners: The adidas Men's Takumi Sen 10 Running Shoes should feel amazing for 5K and 10K racing. This is because the midsole should feel incredibly light and responsive.

Underfoot Feel

The adidas Takumi Sen 10 Running Shoes feature two layers of LIGHTSTRIKE PRO foam, combined with the ENERGYRODS 2.0 system.

Even though there's a significant volume of LIGHTSTRIKE PRO - adidas' most resilient foam - the stack height is lower in comparison to the Adizero Adios Pro 3 Running Shoes. This should result in a snappier and more responsive sensation.

In contrast to the previous model, the Takumi Sen 10 features an updated ENERGYRODS construction. The now fully-connected construction is tuned for even more stiffness. As a result, you should experience faster transitions from landing to take-off.

A combination of Continental™ rubber and light textile rubber promotes extra grip in both wet and dry conditions.

Upper Fit

The adidas Takumi Sen 10 offers lots of ankle security as a result of the Adizero signature slinglaunch design. There's also enhanced lockdown and stitching in the areas you need it. Naturally, the upper should feel very breathable.

Ideal Run Type

If you're racing 5K and 10K events, we highly recommend choosing the adidas Men's Takumi Sen 10 Running Shoes. In comparison to higher-stacked alternatives, the Takumi Sen 10 are likely to feel more stable around corners and should respond better to changes in pace.

Given the level of protection that's on offer, some runners might find these feel very good for half marathon racing too.

Technical Features

  • Approximate weight: 198 grams (based on a size UK 8.5)
  • Drop: 6 mm
  • Forefoot Stack Height: 27 mm
  • Rearfoot Stack Height: 33 mm
  • Continental™ Rubber outsole
  • ENERGYROADS 2.0 limit energy loss
  • LIGHTSTRIKE PRO cushioning

Sizing Advice

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.

Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).

This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
