Underfoot Experience
Altra's EGO™ MAX midsole is designed to be soft, lightweight and somewhat springy. Please note that the midsole material was softened in comparison to the midsole in the original Via Olympus.
The Balanced Cushioning™ platform consists of a zero drop from heel to forefoot; helping to create a natural running experience.
A rocker shape geometry should help you to run with increased ease and efficiency. This can be particularly beneficial towards the latter stages of a run.
Upper Fit
The Via Olympus 2 is has an upper with Altra's original FootShape™ fit. This should allow your toes to have plenty room to splay, and should limit the chance of excess pressure on the sides of your feet.
The engineered mesh upper is breathable.
A moulded heel collar provides a comfortable, secure fit. This heel collar design is an updated one - in comparison to the original Via Olympus.
