Underfoot Experience
Protective cushioning can be responsive, and that is what is provided by the Wave Rider 27's midsole. Mizuno Enerzy Foam provides significant levels of cushioning and energy return, but doesn't operate in isolation. A Mizuno Wave Plate - made from Pebax Rnew® - supports forward propulsion and smooth transition through the gait cycle.
Upper Fit
The Wave Rider 27's upper is designed to wrap around your feet. A significant amount of the upper contains no stitching. Low amounts of stitching means less chance of irritation and blisters - as there are not many seams that can cause friction.
The Wave Rider 27 provides a secure fit at the heel.
Ideal Run Type
The Mizuno Women's Wave Rider 27 Running Shoes are best for road runs at low to moderate speeds. However, if you like to pick up the pace during parts of your steady training runs, then the Wave Rider 27 can be a great choice of shoes - thanks to the responsive cushioning.
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
