Underfoot Feel
Experience the ultimate level of protection and energy return in the Nike Alphafly 3 Proto Road Racing Shoes. The latest edition features the following midsole updates:
- A sculpted midsole design saves weight and enhances energy return from Zoom Air Units.
- A continuous ZoomX midsole smooths out transitions from landing to take-off.
- A wider midfoot section of carbon-fibre FlyPlate offers more support.
Every element of the midsole has been refined to enhance your performance. This even extends to the outsole - where a lighter rubber and updated traction pattern saves weight and improves grip.
Upper Fit
The sock-like upper of the Nike Alphafly 3 Proto feels spacious in the forefoot and maintains a consistent fit throughout your run. However, should your feet swell, the soft yarns in the updated AtomKnit 3.0 expand to accommodate this.
While the upper is almost see-through (and incredibly light), strong containment yarns in the midfoot section deliver great midfoot hold. As a result, you should feel confident on every step.

In our opinion, the Nike Women's Alphafly 3 Proto Road Racing Shoes are one of the best options for long distance races such as marathons and half marathons. This is because the midsole delivers exceptional levels of energy return and underfoot protection. This has the potential to make your race pace more sustainable and get you to the finish line feeling fresher.
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
