Advice for Trail Runners: The Ronhill Men's Freedom Trail Running Shoes are for mixed-surface terrain. This means you can run from your front door, to the trails, over the hills, and back again in comfort. 

Designed by Harry Bolton, Ronhill footwear designer and British U23 Fell Running Champion, you can be confident they'll perform as intended.

Underfoot Feel

The Ronhill Freedom Trail Running Shoes feature a Duo-Pro midsole. Split into two foams, the softer top layer offers a cushioned and comfortable ride. Whilst a firmer bottom layer promotes better stability on uneven terrain. 

As a result, you should be able to transition between various surfaces in comfort and with a lot of confidence.

The outsole rubber is designed in Italy by the 'Soles by MICHELIN' team in collaboration with Ronhill. You should experience great grip over a wide range of surfaces with the 4 mm lugs. Sharp edges on the lugs promote better traction on technical terrain such as muddy trails.

Upper Fit

Intended for long days out on the trails, the Ronhill Freedom Trail Running Shoes upper offers a True-Fit last. To explain further, the foot shaped fit allows your feet space to splay into their natural position. 

In contrast to traditional tongue designs, a split tongue extends over from both sides of the upper. Helping to allow a more cradled fit around the midfoot. The sturdy heel cup also provides extra stability on technical terrain. 

Finally, the most notable feature is the full MATRYX® upper - that delivers amazing support and durability. The Kevlar reinforced mid and forefoot promotes additional lockdown - while keeping weight down.

Ideal Run Type

The Ronhill Men's Freedom Trail Running Shoes should make everyday runs on mixed-surface terrain more enjoyable.

As they feature an extremely robust and durable rubber compound - named OC1 - that's suitable for hard and abrasive surfaces, you can feel confident about wearing these on a very regular basis. This also means they should perform well for long-distance trail running.

Sizing Advice

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.

Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).

This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
