Underfoot Feel

7 mm lugs should dig into loose, soft, and rugged surfaces. This includes muddy trails and technical rocky descents.

The MICHELIN outsole features a special OCX3 compound - which expands as 'Outdoor Extreme Compound 3'. This super sticky rubber should make you feel confident on wet rock, while also offering great durability on mixed terrain.

Even though the Ronhill Reverence Hill Running Shoes should adapt very well to uneven terrain, they offer a lot of protection under your feet. This is thanks to the dual density Duo-Pro midsole. A softer top layer promotes more comfort. In contrast, a firmer bottom layer improves stability. The combination should also result in a fast and efficient feel.

Upper Fit

Mountain running shoes need to be very durable. As a result, the Ronhill Reverence Hill Running Shoes feature an ultra strong full MATRYX® upper. The Kevlar reinforced mid and forefoot enhances lockdown and durability. 

This upper construction, alongside a split tongue design, should ensure you feel supported and in control on technical terrain. However, one very important point to note is the True-Fit last. Ronhill deemed it essential that they created hill running shoes that offer ample space for feet to splay in the toe-box. This is because much of the current offering deliver a narrower fit.

Finally, a sturdy heel cup creates more stability on uneven ground.

Ideal Run Type

We recommend using the Ronhill Men's Reverence Hill Running Shoes on soft, boggy, technical, and steep sloped terrain. 

It's fair to say running up and down mountains requires a lot of stamina. You should be confident that the protective midsole design can keep up with your ability to tackle the toughest challenges.

Sizing Advice

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.

Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).

This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
