Saucony Endorphin Azura Testing Review
Spoiler alert: after testing, the Saucony Endorphin Azura is already shaping up to be one of the most exciting shoes of 2026. While the Endorphin range is well known for the Speed and Pro - established options for speed training and race day - the Azura bridges the gap, combining performance and comfort in a shoe built for everyday miles. It feels fun, fast, and light, and most importantly, it makes running feel effortless.
A truly versatile running shoe
We logged easy-paced miles in the Azura, and they remained smooth and comfortable to run in regardless of fatigue. The foam and aggressive rocker-shaped geometry at the toes make it easy to pick up the pace, whether during steady runs or faster intervals.
During interval sessions, the Azura performed just as well as the Endorphin Speed at fast paces, while offering added protection and stability - especially around the calves. In one workout, we completed 3 sets of 1k–800m–400m repeats with recovery in between, hitting paces of around 3:25–3:30 for the 1k reps, and faster for the 800m and 400m segments. Those paces felt comfortable and controlled in the Azura.
For runners seeking a closer-to-the-ground feel and a snappier ride, the Endorphin Speed remains the preferred option.
HYROX tested & approved
Beyond running, we also tested the Azura for HYROX training and can confidently recommend it as a strong option for training and racing. The shoe feels smooth, protective, and responsive on the runs, while staying grippy, stable, and easy to move in for functional stations. Its aggressive rocker shape design at the toes make it especially effective for sled pushes.
Summary
The Saucony Endorphin Azura delivers a smooth, responsive, and versatile ride for daily training, steady miles, and faster intervals. Lightweight yet protective, it bridges the gap between the Endorphin Speed and Pro, and - based on our own testing - also performs well for HYROX workouts.
