Shop Trail ShoesCross country running is usually a race over undulating natural terrain. Such as open fields, parks, golf courses and grasslands. As the cross country season in the UK typically runs from September to March, the underfoot conditions are likely to be wet. And as the inclusion of paths or road sections is kept to a minimum, you’ll need running shoes that offer maximum grip. The cross country running spikes in our range are different to track running spikes and are dedicated to the job at hand. It’s not advisable to wear track running spikes on cross country courses because the spike plate is likely to bend. We also include deep lugged trail running shoes in our cross country running shoe collection. As these shoes are optimised to provide grip on very muddy terrain, they’re great options for cross country races that are wet and include some hard packed sections.
