It's worth noting any Brooks Running Shoes with 'GTS' in the name means they have extra stability built into them; GTS stands for 'Go-To-Support'. If your running incorporates trails, our Brooks trail range consists of the Ghost Trail, Caldera, and Cascadia - to cover the spectrum from hybrid road-to-trail runs to technical, rocky terrain. The pinnacle Brooks Glycerin franchise features nitrogen-infused DNA Tuned cushioning, designed with dual-sized cells for superior softness in the heel (larger cells) and responsiveness in the forefoot (smaller cells). A brand-new addition to the 2026 Brooks Glycerin franchise, the Brooks Glycerin Flex Running Shoes pair DNA Tuned cushioning with innovative flex zones to create a natural, flexible feel while still delivering comfort on the run. This model is suited to runners who are seeking great protection, but also want to feel connected to the ground. The Brooks Ghost and Adrenaline GTS models both feature nitrogen-infused DNA LOFT v3 cushioning - delivering a smooth, balanced ride that adapts well across a range of paces. The main difference is the Adrenaline GTS's inclusion of GuideRails® technology for added stability. The main benefit of this holistic support system is that it only kicks in when you need it. Think bumpers at a bowling alley - the GuideRails® structure works in a similar fashion. While it helps guide your feet and ankles, it also helps guide your knees and hips. Unlike the Glycerin Max, the Ghost Max doesn't feature an ultra-high stacked midsole. However, the midsole is very different to the standard Ghost, and it is likely to feel more cushioned. The key technology to talk about in the Ghost Max is the GlideRoll Rocker. Designed to make fast and high-intensity training miles feel easier, the Hyperion Max super-trainers boast a high-stack midsole of two foams - DNA Gold and DNA FLASH - and use a nylon plate instead of carbon fibre, to balance speed with protection for daily training. The Caldera Running Shoes offer excellent cushioning, support, and grip for mixed-surface trail runs and long distance runs - making this model an ideal choice for ultra distance events. In contrast, the Cascadia are optimised to perform on rocky terrain and technical trails. This is largely because the midsole and outsole construction are inspired by mountain goat hooves. We just don't recommend scaling cliff faces in them.
