SAYSKY x Run4It - Sub Rosa Edinburgh

No course map, no marked route, and no known distance. That is the premise of SAYSKY Sub Rosa: a checkpoint-to-checkpoint race where navigational instincts matter just as much as pace.

Hosting the event from our Lothian Road store gave us the chance to showcase the city at its rawest. Our priority was delivering an unforgettable experience across the cobbled streets and hills that make Edinburgh such an unforgiving, dramatic landscape. From the heights of Calton Hill and the esplanade of Edinburgh Castle down to Greyfriars Bobby, each participant had to navigate their own way through the dark to reach the final checkpoint (back to the shop).

The first checkpoint was revealed just seconds before the start, sending runners charging toward Calton Hill.

Running is demanding enough as it is, but going flat out through the dark with no course to follow is something else - and the photos capture all of that raw effort.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, and congratulations on some seriously impressive running across the board! Massive thanks to SAYSKY for their support - we loved hosting Sub Rosa and bringing the concept to Edinburgh.

Finally, we can't wait to see the special-edition event tees out on the streets this running season!
