The Brooks Glycerin Max are arguably Brooks’ most exciting and innovative running shoes to date. They feature a brand new supercritical midsole compound named DNA Tuned, moulded from two materials. The white foam features larger cells, which offer a soft and plush feel. In contrast, the coloured foam features smaller cells that offer high energy return and propulsion. Watch our YouTube review to find out more. The midsole works together with GlideRoll rocker technology, to deliver very soft landings, followed by energetic and springy toe-offs. The high stack of soft yet energetic cushioning feels brilliant at slower paces and over long distances, yet equally good as you pick up the pace. If you're looking to increase your weekly mileage or run on consecutive days in total comfort, the Glycerin Max are a brilliant option. Equally, if you're a performance-orientated runner, the Glycerin Max makes a plush, protective companion for easy runs and recovery runs. You might be wondering how they compare to the original Glycerin models? The DNA Tuned foam in the Glycerin Max offers a completely different experience to anything Brooks has offered to this point. No model in the Brooks range comes close from a combination of cushioning and energy return point of view. This is why we position the Brooks Glycerin Max in our Enhanced Energy category; while we position the Brooks Glycerin and Brooks Ghost in our Float Experience category.
