Meet the Team
Runners, fitness freaks and friendly to boot. Our staff are the heart and soul of Run4It and go through our rigorous induction and training programme before we let them loose on the shop floor. We think they are the best – you often tell us this.
Here’s a little more about the motley crew;
John Rudd - Shop Manager
John is a seasoned runner, who will take on any challenge, from Park Run to ultra. Although most of his fast twitch fibres appear to have deserted him, he still enjoys taking part and sharing his experiences with fellow runners. He is not averse to running in disguise (Peter pan or a Smurf! to name but 2) and enjoys his annual pilgrimage to Durness to compete in the Cape Wrath challenges.
Romain Borgeal - Assistant Manager
Romain joined us in November ‘16 as Assistant manager, he left his lovely south of France to live a new experience in Scotland and explore the country as much as he can. And a great way for him to do it is... running ultras! He has been running for a few years now, but used to be just as a complement of his handball training. In 2017, he took his running to another level with races above 30 miles, a skyrace and the Devil O the Highlands (42 miles). He’s a passionate runner who will use his experience to give you tips on training, kit or races. His next challenges are the Highland Fling in April 2018 and his first triathlon.
Rosie is our longest serving member here in Dundee and is happy to help you improve your run in any way she can. She has specific interests in endurance running, High Intensity Training (HIT), Strength and Conditioning and also nutrition. She has a BSc Hons degree in Sport and Exercise Science and also over 10 years of running experience in her legs. She is a passionate runner who enjoys road, trail and hill running and has recently jumped into the Ultra game which she loves! It seems as though she’s found her “thing” as placed First Female and 7thoverall in her first ultra at the Speyside Way Ultra marathon in August 2017.
Charity joined the team in May 2016. She is lover of all things fitness and likes to surround herself with like minded people. Charity cycles daily and is in training with hope to complete her first marathon next year.
As a medical student with a keen interest in sports medicine and the musculoskeletal system, Ross takes a lot of time helping customers avoid injuries and he loves giving advice for aches and pains involved with running.
Douglas joined the team in September ‘16 and is reading an MSc in Human anatomy at the University of Dundee. Having graduated with a 1st class hons in physical activity and health, his main areas of interest are within cardiovascular, neuroanatomy and exercise physiology. Douglas loves pushing the boundaries in training, and with a mixed background of martial arts and running, is always keen help improve your run.
Our second youngest member of the team! Always on the road, Eilidh is an outdoor sport enthusiastic and plays hockey at Uni. If you’re lucky to see her in store (when she’s not abroad skiing or wakeboarding!!), she’ll use her experience to fit you in the best running shoes. She also has a good background in Cross Country, her favourite race being Cumbernauld National relays.
Zuzanna joined us in February 2017, is fairly new to running and does it to keep fit, as she otherwise leads a fairly sedentary life of a comic’s artist. She has a wealth of footwear experience though having worked in the industry for a number of years!
Niamh joined the team in June 2017 and is currently studying Sport and Exercise at Abertay University. She has been training and competing in athletics for over 10 years. Her main events are 100m Hurdles, 100m Sprint and 200m Sprint. She is currently representing Pitreavie AAC in National Championships and leagues. Having tried and tested numerous spikes over the years, she can use her experience, knowledge and expertise to help customers get the right spikes as well as road and trail running shoes.
