Emma joined the Run4It team in October 2017 and has been manager since February 2018. She studied Zoology at university and enjoyed running for fun during this time, taking part in 5k and 10k races. After uni, whilst working in retail, she took up longer distance running completing numerous half marathons in the UK and the Edinburgh Marathon in 2015. London Marathon in 2019 is the highlight of her running career to date!
Having run as cardio for other sports through university, Chris started running for running's sake in March 2018 to prepare for the Edinburgh Marathon. He is now primarily focused on trail races at the marathon distance and beyond – the hillier the better – with long-term ambitions to build up to 100-milers. Before joining the Run4It team in 2019, Chris managed the original I.J. Mellis cheese shop.
Laura joined the team in April 2018 and is in her fourth year at Edinburgh University studying Sport and Recreation Management. With a keen interest in football from an early age, Laura continues this passion, coaching a girl’s football team in Edinburgh while working towards gaining further coaching qualifications.
Leah joined the Run4It it team in October 2019 and has loved it so much! She is currently in her 2nd year of studying BSc Applied Sports Science at Edinburgh University. Leah started running when she was 8 years old at her schools running club and local athletics club. Her main sport was hockey, which she played for 12 years and often describes as a 'running squat'! Now most of her running is done for general fitness but she is looking to beat her Dad's marathon time in the year 2020.
Rob joined Run4It in July 2019 while studying Accounting. He ran the Edinburgh Marathon in 2018 and 2019, and will run it again in 2020, hoping to beat his PB and his older brother. Growing up he has competed in many sports, including football, bowls, and badminton.
Sam joined Run4It in October 2019 while studying Mechanical Engineering at Heriot-Watt University. Having grown up doing every sport from football, to running track, to cycling, he is a well-rounded sports enthusiast and has always used running to improve fitness. Always looking for the next challenge, Sam is now aiming to complete his first half marathon in 2020.
The Run Club meets at the Run4It Edinburgh shop every Monday at 6pm for a 6.15pm run and offers varied training sessions such as steady runs, interval sessions or hill repeats. It’s free and all runners (18 or over) are welcome. For more information on joining ask in-store, call us 0131 228 3444 or visit: facebook.com/groups/309351969221341/.

We are often told that the difference between us and other shops is our people. We think they are just the best. Each team member goes through a period of induction, training and assessment no matter what the job is. Over the years we have invested a load not just in the training but also in ensuring that we are giving the team the very best possible terms and conditions we can – it’s even written down in our business values.
Sorry, there are no current vacancies for this shop.
