Underfoot Experience
The key feature of the midsole's design is the use of a softer Altra EGO™ Max foam. When we refer to a softer foam, we mean in comparison to the foam used in the first edition of the Altra Via Olympus.
The Via Olympus 2 has a 33 mm midsole stack height and a zero drop. This means that you should find these shoes to feel protective yet natural underneath your feet. The feeling of comfort is added to by the plush Ortholite X55 footbed.
Finally, a rocker shaped geometry should help you to move forward with greater ease and efficiency.
Upper Fit
Altra are well-known for the creating running shoes with uppers that fit the natural shape of the foot. The upper in the Via Olympus 2 is Altra's original FootShape™ Fit. Allowing your toes to have room to splay, and limiting the chance of uncomfortable compression of your feet.
The engineered mesh provides breathability. While an updated heel collar offers a comfortable and secure fit.
Ideal Run Type
The Altra Men's Via Olympus 2 Road Running Shoes are neutral running shoes. They are best suited to long, steady training runs on the road. You may find them to be particularly well suited to runs on days when you want to take pressure off your feet and legs.
