This model is perfect for runners seeking maximum energy return and an accommodating upper.
Underfoot Feel
The midsole features two layers of ultralight and responsive PEBA foam. This bouncy foam is paired with a full-length carbon-fibre plate to enhance energy return.
Not all carbon fibre plates are the same. The Vanish Carbon 3 Running Shoes have a split toe plate. While it delivers great rigidity, the unique design allows the big toe to engage more efficiently - which may improve power output and comfort.
The midsole also comes with a very prominent rocker. This improves forward propulsion and is likely to reduce the load on your lower leg area.
Upper Construction
Made with Altra's Racing FootShape™ fit, the upper provides a locked-in feel at the heel and midfoot, but offers more space in the toe box for your feet to splay.
It's fair to say that a considerable number of runners experience problems with race day shoes as a result of them being too tight - especially in the later stages of a race. Sizing Advice
