Underfoot Feel
The cushioning in the ASICS Gel-Kayano 30 Running Shoes should feel very protective underfoot. This is because the midsole features a thick layer of soft FF BLAST ECO foam.
If you tend to land on your heels, you should find the ultra absorbent PureGEL cushioning takes a lot of the impact out of landings.
ASICS' intuitive 4D GUIDANCE SUPPORTS adapts to how much your feet pronate. The combination of a wide based midsole, specific midsole shaping, and an energertic medial foam structure work together to reduce instability.
Should your form start to worsen in the later stages of a run, the support system should reduce the impact of this.

The ASICS Gel-Kayano 30 Running Shoes have a supportive engineered knit upper. It should deliver a soft and breathable feel.
Ideal Run Type
Building up the distances of your long runs can be hard work. The support and cushioning in the ASICS Men's Gel-Kayano 30 should definitely make the challenge feel easier. We also recommend using them for shorter easy paced runs. This is because the goal of those runs is to finish with your legs feeling relatively fresh. High levels of cushioning can significantly reduce the load on working muscles.

Sizing Advice
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
