Advice for Road Runners:

The upper of the GT-2000 9 is now made from a new one-piece mesh construction to help reduce seams that can often cause irritation. No-sew overlays are placed in strategic places to reinforce the upper. Areas such as the arch are reinforced with more support, whereas other areas are left open. The reinforced areas in the upper help control excess movement and work in harmony with the DYNAMIC DUOMAX structure in the midsole.

Rearfoot GEL in the heel area adds a high level of cushioning and helps slow down the speed that the foot and leg rotates inwards at. GEL is also placed in the forefoot to offer more cushioning. FLYTEFOAM cushioning is used throughout the rest of the midsole. This provides a lightweight and responsive feel that is also highly protective.

Added stability is delivered via DYNAMIC DUOMAX. Unlike the GT-1000 which has one block of denser foam, the GT-2000 has a dense layer of foam and then a softer layer of foam on top. This provides more support in a more natural way. This style of support works well for runners who commonly get irritated in the arch area.

The outsole features a combination of durable rubbers. AHARPLUS is used on areas that are prone to the highest levels of abrasion. Light AHAR sponge rubber is used on other areas to add cushioning and keep weight down.

This is a well cushioned stability shoe that will offer a very high level of protection alongside good energy return. It's best suited to slower to steadier paced runs but could also be used for some speed work.

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles. Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes). This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
