Underfoot Feel

The midsole has a top and bottom layer of DNA Gold cushioning - a 100% nitro-infused PEBA foam. This is the lightest, softest, and highest energy-returning foam Brooks has ever made. 

A carbon-fibre SpeedVault+ plate - sandwiched between the two layers of foam - increases energy return and propulsion. Importantly, the plate is size specific - ensuring optimal bending stiffness and performance. 

The unique geometry and carved out medial midfoot reduce weight - for an ultralight running experience. 

Finally, a thin outsole rubber provides race day traction.

Upper Fit

Please note, the Brooks Hyperion Elite 5 Running Shoes are unisex, and are built on a men's last. 

The flat knit upper is all about being as light and breathable as possible. Although, suede eyelets provide reinforcement where it's needed most. The TPU-coated yarn is also much more durable than you might think.

Ideal Run Type

With a super-foam midsole and carbon-fibre plate, the Brooks Unisex Hyperion Elite 5 Running Shoes are designed for one goal: running fast on race day.

Thanks to the high-midsole stack, this super-shoe is suitable for long-distance racing. It should offer adequate support and comfort for marathon events.

Sizing Advice

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.

Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).

This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
