Underfoot Feel
The midsole in the HOKA Mach X 3 Running Shoes is tuned to feel fast and supportive. It has three main components:
- a top layer of highly-resilient PEBA foam;
- full-length winged Pebax® plate; and
- a bottom layer of compression moulded EVA foam.
The plate has an aggressive rocker, which enhances propulsion. It also has a winglet on the lateral side that improves stability. The forefoot focused Active Foot Frame™ offers even more support in this section of the midsole.
Overall, the three-layer construction should deliver great propulsion and comfort for weekly workouts.
The speed-centric MetaRocker™ is the final part to mention, as this helps transition your feet forward with more speed and efficiency.
Upper Fit
The HOKA Mach 3 Running Shoes feature an updated heel collar - which should deliver a more secure fit.
Designed for training miles, the upper has a soft tongue and highly-breathable mesh.

We recommend using the HOKA Women's Mach X 3 Running Shoes for tempo runs and threshold workouts. Whether it's a long-steady tempo run, or 1 km reps at LT2, the midsole should feel propulsive and stable.

Sizing Advice
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
