Drink Mix 320 contains 80 grams of carboyhydrates when dissolved in 500ml of water.
New formulation / updated packaging
Please note that the Drink Mix formulation was updated from the original formulation. The packaging for the new formulation just has an 'M' on the lower front part of the packet. In contrast, the packaging for the old formulation has an 'M' with 'MAURTEN' written underneath on the lower front part of the packaging.
What's the difference between the two formulations?
The new Drink Mix formulation now contains a minimal amount of sodium bicarbonate. Many sports drinks are acidic, which may harm teeth enamel. The sodium bicarbonate in Drink Mix helps to maintain a neutral pH (not lower than pH6).
It also has an improved, lower viscosity. Drink Mix is now less thick, making it easier for athletes to consume more carbohydrates during training or racing.
The final improvement is an improved tolerance to higher levels of calcium in water - up to 80 mg calcium/L. The viscosity of Drink Mix stays the same even when mixing with harder, high-calcium water. This means more reliable fueling with Drink Mix even when travelling to races and using unfamiliar water sources.
