Advice for Road Runners: The Mizuno Men's Wave Horizon 9 Running Shoes are made for runners seeking a highly-supportive and ultra-protective experience.
The midsole features two types of cushioning: a top layer of MIZUNO ENERZY NXT foam, and a bottom layer of MIZUNO ENERZY foam.
The top layer offers a soft and plush underfoot feel. While the bottom layer also offers lots of cushioning, the slightly firmer material improves the inherent stability of the midsole.
Stability is further enhanced by the asymmetrical design and the integrated rubber wall on the inner side of the Mizuno Wave.
This design will actively reduce pronation, and it should feel very stable underfoot.
A Smooth Stretch Woven upper reduces horizontal stretch, which should help your feet remain in the right position throughout each step.
A breathable material helps your feet stay at the right temperature.
We recommend using the Mizuno Men's Wave Horizon 9 Running Shoes for slow and steady-paced runs. The ultra-protective midsole is also likely to work very well for long-distance runs.
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
