Underfoot Experience
One of the main features of the Wave Rider 27's midsole is the responsive cushioning. Mizuno Enerzy Foam is responsible for a lot of this underfoot experience; however, another technology plays its part too. The Wave Plate - made with Pebax Rnew® helps to support forward propulsion and a smooth transition through the gait cycle.
If you are looking for protective yet spring-like cushioning, the Wave Rider 27's midsole is very capable of providing that.
Upper Fit
The upper is designed to wrap around your feet. You should be able to notice that there is hardly any stitching in the upper. Less stitching means less seams - leading to reduced chance of irritation and blisters.
The Wave Rider 27 also provides a secure heel fit.
Ideal Run Type
The Mizuno Men's Wave Rider 27 Running Shoes are best for slow to steady training runs on the road. If you like to pick up the pace during sections of your steady training runs, then the Wave Rider 27 could be a great choice.
These are neutral running shoes.
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
