Advice for Road Runners: The Mizuno Women's Wave Rebellion Pro 2 Running Shoes are for performance-focused runners. This is because every element of the design promotes maximum speed and propulsion for fast-paced running. 

Underfoot Feel

The top layer of foam in the Mizuno Wave Rebellion Pro 2 midsole now features MIZUNO ENERZY LITE+. As a result, they should feel softer and bouncier than the previous version.

There's still a bottom layer of soft and springy MIZUNO ENERZY LITE foam. However, the midfoot section is now broader. This should translate into a more stable experience.

A full-length carbon infused nylon Wave Plate intersects the two foams. The main purpose of the plate is to improve energy return and aid propulsion. As it now features a ribbed design, it should be more responsive than before.

Mizuno's SMOOTH SPEED ASSIST technology is likely feel at its best when you're running fast. To explain further, the extreme rocker geometry is designed to optimise your foot strike and improve forward momentum. However, the technology is less likely to work effectively at slower paces.

From a grip perspective, the G3 outsole delivers standout traction around corners.

Upper Fit

The images of the Mizuno Wave Rebellion Pro 2 Running Shoes upper don't do it justice. This is because it's hard to appreciate how light and breathable it is without putting them on your feet. You'll just have to take our word on how good it feels.

Even though they're stripped back, supportive midfoot straps and heel pods help keep your feet in position. An exceptional eye to detail is evident on the technical shoelace loop design - which further enhances lockdown.

Ideal Run Type

As we've mentioned throughout, the Mizuno Women's Wave Rebellion Pro 2 Running Shoes are for fast-paced running. This includes speed-focused training sessions and racing, such as half-marathons and marathons. We're emphasising that they're best for fast runs because the unique midsole geometry is unlikely to feel natural at slower to steady paces.

When you're up at full-pace, there's very few running shoes that feel as propulsive and fluid as the Mizuno Wave Rebellion Pro 2.

Sizing Advice

Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.

Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).

This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
