Advice for Trail Runners: The main update to the Nike Women's Pegasus Trail 5 Running Shoes is the change to ReactX cushioning.
The updated ReactX midsole in the Nike Pegasus Trail 5 should feel more responsive and cushioned than the previous version.
In comparison to the last edition, there's also less outsole rubber. While the outsole rubber protects the ReactX foam, the updated design should improve how comfortable the cushioning feels on both road and trails.
A versatile outsole design should feel smooth on sections of road, and grippy on light trails. For clarity, these don't offer enough grip for technical trails.
The Nike Pegasus Trail 5's upper should be more durable than the previous version. This is because mesh with tighter woven fabric is positioned in high-wear areas, such as the toes.
An open hole design helps improve breathability. Nike's signature Flywire technology helps increase security in the midfoot.
The Nike Women's Pegasus Trail 5 Running Shoes continue to offer great performance for door-to-trail runs. We recommend opting for these if you run on a range of surfaces, such as forest trails, coastal paths, and grassy parks.
Even though the Nike Pegasus Trail 5 Running Shoes offer lots of cushioning, we don't suggest using them for road-only runs.
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
