The smooth fabric has a reflective film. When artificial light hits the fabric, the material will become highly-reflective - making you very visible to others.

Fit Guide
Please note, as the name suggests, the Nike Running Division Reflective Shorts do not have a liner. This means they can be layered over leggings in cold weather.
The shorts feature an elastic waistband with a drawcord.
