Advice for Road Runners: The On Men's Cloudboom Volt Running Shoes offer an aggressive underfoot feel for fast-paced racing. It's optimised for 5K, 10K, and half-marathon events.
Two layers of Helion™ HF cushioning offers lots of energy return.
A carbon-fibre infused Speedboard® is sandwiched between the cushioning for extra responsiveness.
Importantly, the rocker is placed further back in comparison to the Cloudboom Strike Running Shoes. This helps create a more aggressive toe-off - which is ideal for short to mid-distance racing.
Tuned for speed, the roller mesh is very breathable and offers lots of midfoot lockdown.
The upper should deliver a secure and precise fit.
As mentioned, the On Men's Cloudboom Volt Running Shoes are intended for 5K, 10K, and half-marathon events. This is because the midsole should offer a more aggressive ride than the Cloudboom Strike Running Shoes - which are On's pinnacle option for marathon racing.
It's likely this model will suit runners who are chasing fast race times, and enjoy a highly-responsive underfoot ride.
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
Your running shoes should have enough width to allow you to spread your toes and should have some space at the front (we recommend having a half to one thumb's width of space from the end of your longest toe to the front of your running shoes).
This usually means that your running shoe will be at least a half size bigger than your regular shoe size though this can vary from brand to brand.
