Underfoot Feel
5 mm lugs should deliver excellent traction and confidence on technical trail surfaces. It's likely that the spacing between the lugs on the Contagrip outsole should prevent mud accumulating between them - helping maintain grip from start to finish.
The Salomon Men's Thundercross have a relatively thick layer of Energy Foam cushioning. This should inspire confidence on both softer and firmer terrain.
Upper Fit
Salomon's technical expertise is evident in the Thundercross Trail Running Shoes' upper. Their signature Sensifit technology should offer a consistent fit that feels secure and supportive.
The Quicklace design also improves the consistency of the fit - as the lace pressure shouldn't change over the course of a run. This system tucks away under a pocket on the top of the tongue.
Ideal Run Type
The Salomon Men's Thundercross Trail Running Shoes are suited to muddy trails, technical climbs and descents, and rocky slopes. As they offer a good level of underfoot protection, you should feel confident using them for longer distances too. Particularly if you have to cover some hard-packed terrain.

Sizing Advice
Shoe size is a personal preference and everyone's feet are different, but we want to ensure you avoid any pain or discomfort from bruised toenails, rubbing, blistering or pins and needles.
