Why we stock the Salomon Bonatti Trail Jacket
When you're running in the mountains you can encounter some seriously challenging weather conditions. Staying dry and preventing wind chill can be hugely important. The Bonatti Trail Jacket is waterproof (20K/20K) and is made from premium Japanese PERTEX® fabric.
In comparison to a number of other waterproof running jackets, it offers a greater level of protection from wind and rain. It is also highly breathable.
Crucially, the Bonatti Trail Jacket fits over the top of a 12 litre Salomon hydration pack. Wearing a Salomon hydration pack underneath this jacket? Feed the tube - from your soft flask bottle - through the chest pocket.
While the jacket's design has obvious benefits for mountain and trail running, it can also be brilliant for road running in winter.
For easy storage, pack it into its zipped chest pocket when not in use.
Fit Guide
This Salomon running jacket has a slim fit. If you plan on wearing this over the top of a Salomon hydration vest, we recommend buying the size that is unlikely to be too tight. In other words, if you are between sizes, choose the bigger size.
